      Conveniently located in the Dighalipukhuri area of Guwahati, this museum is considered the oldest in North East India. During my stay in Guwahati, I explored the rich history and exhibits at the state museum. This became a focal point of my experience.

 Best time to Visit-

The museum is open every day from 10:00A.M to 5:00PM, except on Mondays, government holidays, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Please note that entry tickets will only be available until 4 P.M.

        Established in 1994, the unique Guwahati Planetarium is in North East India. It is on MG Road in Uzan Bazar, across from Guwahati High Court. Located in the heart of the city, Guwahati.

Entry fees are ₹100 for individuals aged 10 to 75 years. Children below 10 years and persons with disability enjoy free entry. Entry is also free for individuals above 75 years.

Dipor Bil or Deepor Beel

It is considered one of the largest beel. Beel means “lake” in the local Assamese language. It is located in the Brahmaputra valley of Lower Assam. 

Dipor Bil is a great place for bird lovers and nature fans. You can see more than 300 types of birds. This includes migratory ones like pelicans and ducks. These birds can be seen in the greenery and calm waters.

Guwahati War Memorial
